“Once upon a time, there was a storyteller who could captivate any audience…”

Do you want someone to speak to your group or at your next event?

Dr. Ken offers three different types of presentations:

  • Adventure Travel (locations, cultures, food, explorations)
  • Silly Stories (humor and foolishness)
  • Dr. Ken Talks (serious presentations on fascinating subjects)

Arm-Chair Adventure Travel

Dr. Ken has stayed in everything from five-star hotels to a hammock in the jungle. He’s traveled using more than 30 different means of transportation, including camel, donkey, elephant, hovercraft, motorcycle taxi, water taxi, trolley, hovercraft, humvee, dune buggy, tramway, funicular, rickshaw, tuk-tuk, steam train, bicycle, and on foot.

Unlike most travelers that go on a tour or in a group and mostly see other tourists, Ken prefers traveling alone with no advance reservations to experience firsthand how the indigenous people live.

Some of the Arm-Chair Adventure Travel presentations that Dr. Ken offers are:

  • Cambodia (Jungles, Temples)
  • China (Great Wall, Yangzi River)
  • Africa (Markets, Safaris)
  • India (Taj Mahal, Rajasthan Desert)
  • World’s Fairs (New York, Shanghai, Dubai)

Silly Stories

The Silly Stories presentations consist of a selection of short humorous stories. These are presented live using a combination of different voices and physical humor, accompanied by slide illustrations.

Each presentation includes three or more stories, such as:

  • “The Old Woman Who Swallowed a Pie”
  • “Down the Drain”
  • “The Copper Clapper Caper”
  • “The Bricklayers Story”
  • “The Button Factory”
  • “No News; or, What Killed the Dog?”

These presentations suit any group seeking light, easy-to-follow entertainment, such as Memory Care Units.

All the stories are old; some are over a hundred years old. Stories are accompanied by slides drawn by artificial intelligence (AI) to generate an image from a text description. This technology uses deep neural networks to understand the text and create unique images. Ancient stories meet ultramodern illustrations!

Dr. Ken Talks

Dr. Ken Talks are similar to TED Talks. Each presentation addresses a particularly interesting topic. They are thought-provoking and lead to a lively Question & Answer period during and following the talk.

As part of his career, Dr. Ken has lectured extensively and has been a keynote speaker in North America, Europe, and Asia. He has a Ph.D. and holds the rank of Distinguished Toastmaster.

Dr. Ken Talks include:

  • Bikes— Past, Present, and Future of bicycles, emphasizing Dr. Ken’s personal experience with bikes, such as his escapades with one he named “Frankenbike”. • Aliens — Why hasn’t anyone seen or heard from an alien from outer space? Where is Everybody? Unlike the other talks, this presentation consists of many deep unsolvable questions.
